I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a way to work with the H265 files from the I2 in FCPX. Can't import H.265/HEVC into Final Cut Pro would be a representative one. As H.265/HEVC is becoming more and more popular, the chances of getting a movie in HEVC have increased, meanwhile the problems related to H.265/HEVC grown. Not only that, a lot of cameras supports exporting video in H.265/HEVC, for example, GoPro's Hero6 Black action camera. And iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus supports HEVC/H.265 for FaceTime over cellular and macOS High Sierra, iOS 11, tvOS and Safari support HEVC/H.265.

A lot of 4K streaming sources like Amazon, Ultraflix, etc use H.265 for streaming 4K video. As a successor to H.264, H.265/HEVC offers the same level of video quality but a better compression.
